Dr. Maneesh Jain, 2024-25 ODA President
Dr. Maneesh Jain is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and is a general practitioner in Guelph, Ont. He served on the Executive of the Waterloo-Wellington Dental Society from 2000 to 2006, was President in 2005 and represented the society on General Council for three terms.
At the ODA, Dr. Jain was a member of the Component Society Committee from 2009 to 2015. He is a Political Contact Dentist for the Southwestern Region and a Media Contact Dentist. Dr. Jain previously served as Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee. He was also the Chair of the Government Dental Programs Working Group. Dr. Jain was awarded the ODA Award of Merit in 2012.
Dr. Jain has been a Board member since 2016.
Daniel Faulkner HBSc, MBA,
Registrar & CEO, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario
Daniel is a recognized regulatory leader with over 25 years of experience in health care and professional regulation. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Western University, and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Services Management from McMaster University.
Daniel spent a large portion of his career with one of Canada’s largest regulatory authorities, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). During his tenure at the CPSO, he held several senior leadership roles including Director of Quality Management, Deputy Registrar and Interim CEO & Registrar.
In addition to formal regulatory work, Daniel founded Lakeview Regulatory Consultants, advising regulators and related organizations on a wide variety of complex governance, strategy, and program-related challenges. Daniel’s career spans all aspects of regulatory program oversight including practice-based assessments, quality improvement, national licensure and professional mobility, and practical risked-based solutions informed by evidence.
He recently Co-Chaired the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care’s Working Group which completed the first Ontario performance measurement framework for health professional Colleges.
As the Registrar and CEO of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Dan is committed to regulatory excellence that is informed by data and evidence, proportional to risk of harm, and accountable and transparent to the public and stakeholders.
