On November 15th Drs. Madina Khoutiev and Ruchi Khindria participated in the Career Fair at Thomas A. Blakelock High School in Oakville

On Wednesday October 23, 2024, Dr. Kelvin Fung, Chair of the Government Relations Committee, attended a Progressive Conservative fundraiser held in North York. Dr. Fung and other dentists had the opportunity to have a conversation with three ministers of the Ontario Government. These were: Minister of Health Hon. Sylvia Jones, Minister for Long-Term Care Hon. Natalia Kusendova-Bashta and Minister for Seniors and Accessibility, Hon. Raymond Cho.

On Friday, June 21st Dr. Sunita Joshi did a presentation at the SHIP (" Service and Housing in the Province") office in Mississauga.  The Oral Health presentation was followed by an engaged Q&A session covering topics on brushing, flossing, bleaching, implants and gum treatment.

HPDA councillors at the ODA General Council - May 3-4, 2024

On April 26, 2024 HPDA dentists volunteered at Simona Dental Studio where Dr. Terinder (Ruby) Chahal and her team hosted a a very successful Smile Day. HPDA volunteers did a wonderful job providing free cleanings and extractions to people in need who were referred from The Food Banks of Mississauga and Peel Public Health. Lots of happy patients and volunteers!

Free Dental Care was provided to people in need by volunteer dentists at Smile Days Mississauga on April 26, 2024. Thank you to Dr. Pravir Patel and his team  for hosting Smile Days. Big shout out to all the HPDA volunteers. Thank you to MP Iqra Khalid for visiting and supporting HPDA Smile Days. HPDA is proud to improve the oral health in Halton and Peel Regions.

HPDA Volunteers provided free dental care in Malton on April 12, 2024. Huge shout out to Dr. Duri Hafiz and her team for hosting Smile Days. Free extractions, restorations and cleanings were provided to eighteen patients by HPDA dentists. A big thank you to the team at Malton Goreway Dental for their compassionate care and for welcoming everyone. HPDA is proud to host Smile Days to improve the oral health of our community!

On April 5, 2024 eighteen patients were treated at the Grand Harbour Dental Office of Dr. Madina Khoutiev.  HPDA members and the clinic staff members provided free  root canals, hygiene and restorative service.  MPP Christine Hogarth visited the clinic and thanked HPDA for helping the community.  The best reward is feedback from all grateful patients.

On March 1,2024 twenty-two patients were treated at the Oakville Office of Dr. Kelvin Fung.  Patients were referred from Oakville Fare Share Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul Charities. Eight HPDA member dentists volunteered to provide treatment.  Three members of Halton Public health came to support clients with access to other possible services. Two town councillors came to visit and support HPDA Smile Day - Tom Adams and Scott Xie.

On February 2, 2024, HPDA dentists volunteered at Rosetta Dental where Dr. Nermeen El-Gammal and her team hosted a very successful Smile Day. 35 patients were seen and treated by 12 HPDA dentists. The councillor for Ward 8 in Mississauga Matt Mahoney visited the Smile Day at Rosetta Dental.

Laura Parro represented the Region of Peel to promote available programs and provided resources on Diabetes, Health eating and support information to help stop vaping to clients who were receiving free Dental care.

On January 30, 2024 Drs. Navreet Sidhu and Sunita Joshi did an Oral Hygiene presentation at Munden Park Public School which is a PLASP Centre. The process to get there was a long one as there were police checks and insurance requirements that had to be met before the meeting could be planned. They had a very warm welcome from the staff members Rehana and Fetemeh upon arrival. There were nearly 20 children all under age 5 years with their parent or grandparent in attendance. The children were so excited to be brushing the "dinosaur's teeth" and there was one little girls who was so excited that she wanted to volunteer for everything. The parents had many interesting questions and stayed well beyond the presentation. Everyone received goodie bags with toothbrush, floss and toothpaste.
